Boulder Street Church was founded in September 2004. As a matter of fact, we just celebrated our 5th anniversary.
The church building has a long and storied past. Our understanding is that the church was originally commissioned to be a local mission church in the downtown community. Of course back in the early 1900s it would have been nearly impossible to envision the growth of Colorado Springs. At the turn of the century, Colorado Springs was a mere 21,000-person city. Today our metro area consists of roughly 600,000 people.
Situated in a neighborhood just east of downtown, Boulder Street Church is working hard to accomplish our goals of "Loving God and Loving People," by being a community resource. We believe that we ought to positively affect the lives of those within our reach, and that starts at the heart of our neighborhood. We simply want to be good neighbors and allow God to work in and through us. As a result you'll often see us walking through the neighborhood or hanging out with people at Raven's Nest Coffee across the street.
